Adam Marcotte—Owner/Operator
After years in law enforcement and construction, I founded A-10 Excavation in Fithian, IL, in the spring of 2025. The idea sparked in the fall of 2024 when I realized there was a real need in our area for reliable, small-to-medium-scale excavation and repair services. I wanted a career shift that allowed me to bring value to the community—and A-10 was born.

Running this business isn’t just a job—it’s a passion. The turning point came during spring break when my son joined me on a commercial job site. Watching him light up, eager to learn and participate, was deeply inspiring. That day made it clear: I was on the right path.
Deep Roots in the Community
I’ve always been committed to serving the people around me. In addition to operating A-10 full-time, I also serve as the police chief of Fithian, which keeps me connected and active in our local community. We're constantly seeking ways to give back—from sponsoring youth sports teams to offering reduced-cost services for small villages. It’s all about being a good neighbor and making a difference where we can.

Before launching A-10, I spent over a decade in law enforcement, including roles as a

Before that, I ran a successful carpentry business until the 2008 economic downturn forced a career change. Now, with A-10, I’ve come full circle—returning to hands-on work that makes a visible, positive impact.
Running this business alongside my role in public service has drastically improved my quality of life. I’m excited to grow A-10 organically and continue providing meaningful, honest work to the community I care so deeply about.
